To honour the first celebration of World’s Bee Day, Slovene Ethnographic Museum in co-operation with Slovenian Professional Guides Association prepared a special museum guiding.

In the middle of Ljubljana you can take part in a story about Bee, which has found it’s place even in the museum.

Programme »Honey experience« includes:

• Honey sweet welcome
• The story of the Museum Shop Lectarija, designed by the most famous Slovene architect Jože
Plečnik
• Guided tour of the beekeeping collection at the exhibition Between Nature and Culture
• Explanation: how to paint your own beehive panel

On Friday, 20th  of April 2018, the open Day of Slovenian apiculture associations will take place.

In the context of the project  of Slovenian apiculture associations “Make bees’ home nicer and know the beekeepers”  the students of Elementary school prof. dr. Josip Plemelj from Bled  will hand over  their painted beehive panels to the beekeepers. Their work will be exhibited for  2 months on a  hayrack at the Kralov apiary in village Selo near Bled. This day students and all visitors will be able to see also  apiaries, bees, beekeeping equipment and they will taste bee products.

 

On Sunday, 13th of  May 2018 , the beekeeping club of Bled-Gorje opens exhibition in Bled castle with the title »Beekeeping in Bled« . Exhibition  will present beekeeping in the past, the work of beekeepers nowadays and photos of  bees and apiaries.
